Job Summary

We are seeking a Full-Time Mechanical CAD Designer/Drafter with strong drafting skills and at least a year of AutoCAD experience. This role is ideal for a motivated and hardworking individual who can work both independently and as part of a collaborative engineering team. This role also requires to collaborate effectively with engineers and project managers to support system design and construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and update mechanical system drawings (HVAC, plumbing, fire sprinklers). Draft layouts and details in AutoCAD (minimum 1 year of direct experience required). Assist with Revit modeling (asset, not mandatory). Ensure compliance with building codes, standards, and project requirements. Maintain organized documentation and project records. Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and external partners. Manage tasks effectively with excellent time management and punctuality. Support project submissions with technical and administrative accuracy.

Requirements

Minimum 1 year of CAD (AutoCAD) drafting experience (Compulsory). Diploma or education in Mechanical Engineering / Technology - beneficial but not mandatory. Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and fire sprinkler systems. Proficiency in English (spoken and written). Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office tools. Strong documentation, organization, and attention to detail. Ability to work individually and collaboratively in a team setting. Hardworking, proactive, and eager to learn. Knowledge of Revit and BC Building Codes/ASHRAE standards - considered an asset.
