Your Job

We are currently searching for talented individuals that shares our corporate values and beliefs to fill an immediate full-time requirement for a Mechanical Designer .

What You Will Do

  • As part of our team, you will work closely with our Design Engineering, Fabrication and Manufacturing teams to connect the design and material requirements for downstream processes, including material procurement
  • Create detailed engineering drawings utilizing 3D and 2D design software
  • The candidate shall also create NC programs for the shop floor
  • Show a commitment to lifelong learning and developing new skills while demonstrating strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
  • Mechanical Design Technologist Diploma or equivalent
  • Working knowledge of 2D and 3D design software\'s (AutoCAD and Inventor)
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite, including MS word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Strong knowledge of engineering and industry standards, processes, and procedures
  • Flexible and able to work overtime
  • Ability to trouble shoot with a hands-on approach, recognizing area for design improvement and translating the ideas into results through continuous improvement programs
What Will Put You Ahead
  • 2+ Experience with Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD
  • 2+ years practical experience in mechanical design with an industrial setting; will consider other relevant work
  • Experience in Lantek or knowledge of creating NC and Laser programs
  • Experience reading and interpreting blueprints
