Job Title: Mechanical Designer
Design and develop detailed mechanical designs for cosmetic displays utilizing CAD software. Innovate solutions for plastic injection molding and sheet metal fabrication, ensuring that designs meet aesthetic, functional, and manufacturability requirements. Responsibilities

• Create detailed mechanical designs using CAD software.
• Develop innovative solutions for plastic injection molding and sheet metal fabrication.
• Ensure designs meet aesthetic, functional, and manufacturability requirements.
• Utilize plastic injection molding processes to design cost-effective and manufacturable components.
• Apply sheet metal fabrication techniques to create durable and visually appealing display structures.
• Conduct feasibility studies and select appropriate materials for new projects.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, production, and quality assurance.
• Communicate with suppliers and manufacturers to resolve technical issues.
• Implement design changes based on test results and stakeholder feedback.
• Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and documentation for production.
• Maintain accurate records of design iterations and project progress.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost reductions.

Essential Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 6+ years of experience in mechanical design, specifically in plastic injection molding.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Familiarity with PDM and knowledge of GD&T.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in product design/development, sheet metal, tooling, and fixture design.
• Familiarity with DFMEA and BOM processes.

Work Environment
The position operates within an office environment with an 8-5 pm shift. The engineer will have their own design station and will frequently interact with assembly and production staff on the shop floor.
