The Opportunity
We're looking for a Mechanical Designer and Reverse Engineering Specialist to join our Engineering team. Ideal for a hands-on machinist or toolmaker looking to expand into the design and technical side -- or a designer ready to build experience across multiple disciplines. This role is designed to support multiple departments -- Tool & Die, Custom Machining, Prototyping, and Reverse Engineering.
The right person will enjoy a mix of hands-on problem solving, CAD design, and 3D scanning, with exposure to a wide range of industries and challenges. Over time, this role could evolve into a more specialized design or engineering position based on your strengths and interests.
What You'll Do
Create and modify CAD models and technical drawings for tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures.
Support reverse engineering and inspection activities using portable CMM and 3D scanners.
Prepare 2D prints and outsource packages and related documentation for production.
Collaborate with team members across Design, Quality, and Manufacturing
Collaborate with customers and vendors to develop and refine designs that meet project requirements.
Maintain organized design files, records, and revision histories.
What We're Looking For
Technical Skills:
Hands-on experience in machining, tool and die, or manufacturing design
Fluent in both parametric and non-parametric CAD modeling.
Working knowledge of GD&T and technical drawing interpretation.
Experience with 3D scanning and reverse engineering is a strong asset.
Strong Excel and general Microsoft Office proficiency.

Strong communication skills -- able to explain complex technical details clearly.

Pay: $28.00-$34.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
