We're excited to share an opportunity for an existing vacancy as a Mechanical Design Engineer / Mechanical Designer (Intermediate Level).
This role offers the opportunity to make a direct impact on engineered products from concept through to manufacturing. You will use your expertise in Autodesk Inventor to develop detailed 3D models and production-ready drawings that support high-quality, custom mechanical solutions in a collaborative manufacturing environment. Daily responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

• Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies, and systems using Autodesk Inventor
• Create detailed 2D manufacturing drawings, BOMs, and specifications
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and project teams to ensure designs are manufacturable and meet project requirements
• Modify and update existing designs based on engineering changes or production feedback
• Support prototype builds, testing, and design validation activities
• Ensure designs comply with applicable standards, safety requirements, and customer specifications
• Participate in design reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

Mandatory Requirements:

• 3-7 years of mechanical design experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
• Advanced proficiency with Autodesk Inventor (required)
• Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, GD&T, and manufacturing processes
• Experience creating detailed fabrication and assembly drawings
• Ability to manage multiple design tasks and meet project deadlines
• Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally

Preferred Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or related field
• Experience with custom equipment, machinery, automation, or heavy industrial products
• Familiarity with PDM/PLM systems
• Knowledge of Lean manufacturing or design-for-manufacturability (DFM) principles
• Exposure to ERP systems and engineering change processes

Location: Oakville, Ontario
Salary Range: $75,000 - $95,000
