Job Description

Role Overview
We are seeking an engineer to examine technical drawings of legacy components that are experiencing quality or compliance concerns. This individual will recommend design improvements, document findings in detailed reports, and collaborate closely with drafting, design, and analysis teams. Experience in complex mechanical systems--such as engines with multiple interacting parts exposed to extreme temperature variations--is essential.
Key Responsibilities

• Develop design updates that address manufacturing challenges in advanced mechanical assemblies.
• Conduct in?depth assessments of materials or parts that do not meet specifications.
• Assist with supplier transitions by preparing and implementing validation plans for externally produced components.
• Propose design changes aimed at reducing production costs while maintaining performance standards.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of intricate mechanical systems (e.g., engines or comparable machinery).
• Ability to work cross?functionally with design and analytical teams.
• Experience in evaluating technical drawings and identifying opportunities for improvement.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Mississauga, ON.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $40.00/hr.
