Job Description

Description
Candidate will review drawings of older models parts that are having non-conformity issues. They will make suggestions for improvement on the parts, and write reports on their findings. They will need an understanding of turbine engines, or similar products that are complex in design, have multiple components and interact with hot and cold elements. They will do a lot of coordination with the drafting and design team, as well as the analytical team.

• Design modifications that will resolve producibility challenges on turbomachinery components.

• Perform thorough engineering evaluations of non-conforming material.

• Support outsourcing activities by defining and executing substantiation plans for components manufactured by new suppliers.

• Initiate design modifications for cost reductions

Additional Skills & Qualifications
MUST HAVES:
- 2+ years Mechanical Design experience
- Must be able to understand Assembly drawings and how parts interact with one another.
- Must have an Engineering Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
NICE TO HAVES:
- CATIA
- Turbine Engine design
- Automotive Engine design
- Bilingual
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $40.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Mississauga,ON.
