Job Description
Optimal Engineering is looking for a Mechanical Designer with experience in building mechanical system design including HVAC, plumbing and fire protection.
Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Prepare calculations and design for mechanical systems including HVAC, plumbing & fire protection Prepare drawings using AutoCAD 2D Coordinate with clients, other consultants, and contractors Perform site visit to verify existing mechanical systems Prepare reports and specifications Any associated administration as required
Qualifications/Experience:
MUST have at least one year experience in residential and commercial design of mechanical systems including HVAC, plumbing & fire protection MUST be proficient in AutoCAD 2D Technologist, College or University Degree in a relevant field Ability to read and understand engineering and architectural blueprints Time management skills to complete error-free work within the required timeframe Ability to multitask and manage several projects at a time Self-motivated and organized Attention to detail Excellent verbal and written communication skills A valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle on a regular basis
