Job Description

The Rubic is looking for a hands-on Mechanical Design Engineer with a strong emphasis on complex mechanism design and static and dynamic analysis. The ideal candidate will hold a minimum Bachelor\'s degree from a well-known university and have a solid background in mechanical design and calculations. This role requires direct involvement in system design, FEA, assembly, and testing, offering a unique opportunity for a passionate individual to contribute to our cutting-edge projects in the field of robotics. Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and development of complex mechanisms and robotic systems, ensuring they meet stringent project requirements and standards.
  • Conduct comprehensive math-driven static and dynamic analyses to validate design decisions and ensure optimal product performance.
  • Perform in-depth design analysis and critically review design solutions, focusing on mechanisms and mechatronics.
  • Directly participate in the assembly and testing of mechanisms and robotic systems, ensuring functionality and performance align with design specifications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure designs are feasible from an electronics perspective and can be seamlessly integrated into the overall project.
  • Prepare detailed technical reports, documentation, and presentations to communicate design and testing results to team members and stakeholders.
  • Communicate efficiently with the manager and other teams on the project\'s scope and status or decisions.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum a Bachelor\'s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field from a well-known university.
  • Must be a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident of Canada.
  • Experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer, focusing on complex mechanism design and static and dynamic analysis.
  • Strong hands-on experience in system assembly and testing is a must.
  • Proficiency in CAD software for designing and simulating complex mechanisms and robotic systems.
  • Proficiency in Math Driven statics or dynamics calculations.
  • Hard working with attention to design details.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet stringent deadlines.
