Job Description
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensure tasks are delivered on time and design practices are consistently applied. Interface with design group and customers ensuring customer requirements are met and design intent is understood. Must design to current safety standards and procedures as the job requires while providing feedback to improve processes. Evaluate component sizes, weights, tolerances, and characteristics to meet design requirements and cost objectives. Assist in analysis of development test results and suggestions from engineering meetings and implement the changes required. Recommend improvements and incorporate necessary changes into robotic system, designs. Follow up on designs through the build process to create as build drawings. Have a working knowledge of pneumatic/hydraulic systems, mechanical drive systems, servo motors, conveyers, and robotics.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Experience in SolidWorks and AutoCAD Design Software. Machine design and drafting knowledge. A good understanding of GD & T. Strong analytical skills. Ability to travel to customer locations.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Post-secondary education in technical or an engineering discipline. Coupled with 2+ years of experience in a related field.
COMPENSATION:
* Ranges from $34 - $40 per hour.
