Position Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and creative

Mechanical Design Technologist

to join our engineering team. In this role, you will play a critical part in designing, developing, and testing components and assemblies for our vehicle systems. You will collaborate closely with engineers, production teams, and suppliers to bring designs from concept to reality.

Key Responsibilities:

Create 3D models and 2D drawings using CAD software (e.g. SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Inventor) Design automotive components, assemblies, brackets, and mounting systems with an emphasis on manufacturability, function, and durability Participate in design reviews and contribute to continuous improvement efforts Conduct tolerance analysis and basic structural evaluations Prepare and maintain BOMs, drawing packages, and engineering documentation Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturing teams to ensure smooth production integration Assist in prototyping, testing, and validation of new designs Adhere to industry and company standards (e.g. GD&T, ISO, SAE)

Qualifications:

Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology or related field 2+ years experience in mechanical design, preferably in the automotive or manufacturing sector Proficiency in CAD software Knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes (sheet metal, welding, machining, etc.) Strong understanding of mechanical systems and design principles Excellent attention to detail and documentation Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines Strong communication and team collaboration skills

Pay: $48,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
