Job Summary


Pitch in and make yourself indispensable. We're looking for a

new or recent graduate

to be part of a small team developing a a number of cutting edge electric vehicles for key clients around the world. This means not only design work, but also prototyping, testing, refinement and redesign based on the learnings. This role is a full-time position and with a starting date no later than Nov 10th, 2025. This job will take place primarily at EDL's office at 142 Cawthra Ave in Toronto, Canada as well as testing locations as necessary. The office is located in Toronto's Junction neighbourhood and easily accessible by transit, bike, or walking.

Responsibilities



Develop and design mechanical systems and components using SolidWorks Create detailed schematics and drafting documents in accordance with ASME codes & standards Assemble and commission electric vehicle prototypes Assemble and commission testing equipment Conduct root cause analysis to troubleshoot design issues and implement effective solutions. Perform Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to validate design integrity under various conditions. Engage in project scheduling to meet deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards. Maintain documentation of design processes, changes, and project milestones.

Basic Requirements:



Master's degree from a CEAB-accredited engineering school Strong academic grounding with a focus on mechanical engineering principles Working knowledge of SolidWorks Hands-on experience developing electric vehicles preferably as part of a university-based design team Canadian citizenship or the right to work in Canada Currently living in the Toronto area Familiarity with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) practices.

Pay: $60,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
