Mechart is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented
Mechanical Engineer
to join our precision machining team based in Dorval, Quebec. This junior-level position is ideal for a recent graduate with a passion for aerospace manufacturing and a strong desire to contribute to the production of high-precision aerospace components.
As part of our dynamic team, you will play a key role in overseeing various aspects of aerospace parts manufacturing, from planning and development to production and quality management. Key Responsibilities:
Manufacturing Process Development
: Create and refine manufacturing processes and technical documentation using
Fusion 360
and the
Microsoft Office Suite
.
CAD/CAM Programming
: Utilize CAD/CAM software for 5-axis horizontal milling and multi-axis lathe programming.
Technical Support
: Collaborate with the factory floor to resolve process design and manufacturability issues.
Process Improvement
: Work closely with the production team to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and implement new processes.
Supplier Coordination
: Review and specify components outsourced to suppliers.
Quality Assurance
: Ensure compliance with relevant quality standards and customer specifications, and produce related documentation.
Inspection
: Conduct detailed inspections using
CMM
(Coordinate Measuring Machines), optical comparators, and conventional measurement tools such as micrometers, vernier calipers, and gauge blocks.
Non-conformance Management
: Complete and track non-conformance reports, communicating quality issues and resolving them in a timely manner.

Bachelor's degree
in
Mechanical Engineering

Strong proficiency in
solid modeling software
(Fusion 360, SolidWorks, or similar).
Familiarity with
5-axis milling and multi-axis lathe programming

Excellent
