Our client, a leader in the manufacturing industry, is seeking a Mechanical Assembler to join their team. As a Mechanical Assembler, you will be part of the Production Department supporting the assembly of prefabricated parts and components. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively, which will align successfully with the organization.
Job Title: Mechanical Assembler
Location: Milton, ON
Pay Range: $21.00 per hour
Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM Monday to Friday
What's the Job?
Read and interpret engineering drawings and Oracle Bill of Materials.
Assemble, fit, and install prefabricated parts using hand and power tools.
Act as project lead on low to moderate complexity assembly projects and direct work of other assemblers.
Perform visual inspections of material and assembled products for conformance to drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
Repair or modify errors detected during testing and inspection.
Maintain KANBAN process accuracy and apply consistency in assembly methods.
Prepare units for testing, and perform pack and ship duties.
Escalate drawing concerns through appropriate channels.
Support continuous improvement, safety, and 5S initiatives.
What's Needed?
High School Diploma or equivalency.
Minimum of 3 years of assembly experience in a manufacturing environment.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics.
Knowledge of Lean manufacturing processes and Six Sigma tools.
Basic computer skills; experience with Oracle functions is an asset.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Legally eligible to work in Canada without company sponsorship now and in the future.
