Job Description

WSP is currently seeking a Mechanical and Electrical BIM Modeler/Designer to join our Building Systems team in our Vancouver, BC office. Reporting to the Mechanical and Electrical Production Manager, this position will be responsible for producing high-quality Revit/CAD Models/drawings for a wide range of building projects, including industrial, commercial, transportation, healthcare, and data centre facilities.

What you can expect to do here:



Develop and coordinate Mechanical and/or Electrical system drawings using Revit and AutoCAD, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project standards. Support design teams with the development of HVAC/Plumbing/Fire Protection and/or Power/Lighting/Communication Systems. Maintain and manage BIM models throughout all project phases, ensuring model integrity and consistency across disciplines. Collaborate closely with engineers, architects, and other disciplines to ensure effective integration of building systems. Participate in model coordination and clash detection reviews. Assist with Revit family creation, template development, and standardization to improve design efficiency. Review model and drawings to ensure accuracy.

What you'll bring to WSP:



Diploma or certificate in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Systems Design from an accredited institution. 3+ years of experience in mechanical and/or electrical drafting and design for building systems. Familiarity with Revit (BIM model setup, family creation, coordination workflows), BIM360/ACC and AutoCAD. Understanding of HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Protection and/or Lighting, Power distribution layouts is strong asset. Familiarity with BIM execution plans and multidisciplinary model coordination Revizto & Navisworks experience would be a great asset.

Salary range (in British Columbia): $61,600 to 84,700


The final salary awarded for this role may vary from the above range based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
