Mechanic Shop Labourer
Job Description
Gateman-Milloy Inc. is an award-winning general contractor specializing in site development and ICI construction based out of Kitchener. We are currently recruiting a Mechanic Shop Labourer to assist our operations and mechanic team in the maintenance of our fleet of heavy equipment.
The Shop Labourer works in our mechanic shop to assist staff with duties in regards to shipping, receiving, loading, unloading and housekeeping under the direction of the Shop Manager.
If you're interested in starting a career in a motive power trade, this could be your start. We currently have apprentices and journeypersons employed as:
Truck and Coach Technician (310T)
Heavy Duty Equipment Technician (421A)
Automotive Service Technician (310S)
Job Duties:
Housekeeping and upkeep of parts room, mechanic bay areas, yard Sweeping, organizing, stocking parts Picking up and delivering parts Assisting mechanics with tasks Detailing of vehicles and equipment Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Ability to lift approximately 20-30 lbs occasionally throughout the day Experience working in mechanic shop an asset Must have a G license and clean driving abstract
