Bluenose RV Centre, one of the largest RV dealerships in Atlantic Canada, is seeking a skilled and dedicated
Mechanic
to join our team in Bridgewater, Nova Scotia.
In this role, you will be responsible for performing maintenance, repairs, and diagnostic assessments on our
truck fleet and dealership equipment
, as well as
servicing recreational vehicles and automobiles for our
pre-owned sales
lot.
You will play a vital role in keeping our fleet trucks, dealership equipment, and pre-owned vehicles in top condition.

I
n this role, you will:
? Perform maintenance and repairs on fleet trucks, diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
? Service and maintain dealership equipment to ensure smooth daily operations.
? Inspect, diagnose, and repair recreational vehicles, cars, and trucks, ensuring they meet our dealership resale standards.
? Communicate effectively with RV service advisors regarding necessary repairs, timelines, and updates on vehicles and equipment.
? Maintain accurate records of all repairs, maintenance work, and parts used for both fleet vehicles and RVs.
? Provide clear updates to management on the status of ongoing repairs and maintenance.
? Assist customers in understanding repairs or modifications made to their RVs when needed.
? Work collaboratively with team members to ensure all vehicles, including RVs, trucks, and dealership equipment, are serviced efficiently and meet quality standards.
? Stay current with industry best practices, repair techniques, and emerging technologies in RV and vehicle maintenance.
? Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
What We're Looking For
? High school diploma or equivalent.
? Strong mechanical background through apprenticeship, vocational training, or hands-on experience.
? Automotive service technician certification (an asset).
? Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills with experience using tools, equipment, and repair manuals.
? Knowledge of bodywork (an asset).
? Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality workmanship.
? Valid Nova Scotia Driver's License.

Additional Details
? This role involves physical activities such as lifting (25-50 lbs), climbing, balancing, and handling materials.
? Year-round position with our peak season running from April 1st - October 31st, requiring occasional overtime.
? Three (3) weeks vacation at Christmas during our seasonal shutdown.
