Mechanic Helper
Job Description
Fred M. Dunphy Excavating & Construction has been providing construction services across the HRM for over 50 years.
- Assist mechanics in performing routine maintenance and repairs on vehicles and equipment
- Clean and organize work areas and tools
- Retrieve and deliver parts and supplies as needed
- Assist with diagnosing mechanical issues and troubleshooting
- Perform basic mechanical tasks under the supervision of a mechanic
-Welding experience preferred (compensated for greater experience)
- Previous experience as a mechanic helper or in a similar role is preferred
- Basic knowledge of automotive systems and components
- Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00-$29.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 - 55 per week
