Transdev is now hiring Red Seal Heavy Duty, Automotive or Commercial journeyman Mechanics for our Fort McMurray, Alberta location! (Fly In, Fly Out!)We are seeking permanent, full-time mechanics. We are also offering a competitive hourly rate starting at $56.06/hr!Your Role:

• Diagnose and perform accurately all phases of vehicle and equipment service and repair under minimal supervision. Repairs include brakes, engine tune-ups, suspensions, drive trains, transmission clutches and other repairs.
• Remove, overhaul and reinstall mechanical components with minimal supervision.
• Lead preventative maintenance (PMs), safety inspections and annual maintenance inspections.
• Ensure work orders are completed properly and accurately.
• Maintain records of all maintenance work completed including parts and supplies used.
• Notify supervisor of potentially dangerous equipment and corrective action taken.
• Evaluate completed work prior to release and seek approval where required.
• Lead road calls and emergency services as necessary.
• Adhere to Transdev's standards, policies and procedures.
• Moves vehicles safely between job and work area.
• Perform other responsibilities as requested or required.

Your Profile:

• Red Seal Heavy Duty, Automotive or Commercial Journeyman certification is preferred.
• You have a Class 5 (BC) Drivers License with air endorsement (Must be willing to obtain Class 2 license within 3 months of hire).
• You have a CVIP Inspection certificate.
• You have an appropriate mechanics tool set.
• You have advanced problem-solving ability.
• You have advanced computer skills.
• You are able to work independently as well as part of a team.
• You are able to work assigned shifts.
• You must have experience with Diesel Vehicles.

Your Location:

• This is a unionized position in Fort McMurray, Alberta.
• The work schedule 14 days On Site, 14 days Off. 12hr/day
