Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Meat Wrapper to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and packaging various meat products while ensuring the highest standards of quality and sanitation. You will play a vital role in providing excellent customer service and supporting our store's overall operations.

Responsibilities

Prepare, wrap, and package meat products according to store standards. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the meat department, including equipment and work surfaces. Assist customers with their selections, providing knowledgeable recommendations and upselling products as appropriate. Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system for transactions related to meat purchases. Ensure proper food handling techniques are followed to maintain product quality and safety. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow in the kitchen area. Perform basic math calculations for pricing and inventory management. Help train new staff on proper wrapping techniques and safety protocols.

Qualifications

Previous experience in food preparation or a kitchen environment is preferred. Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers. Knowledge of food handling practices and sanitation standards. Basic math skills for accurate pricing and inventory management. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Experience with POS systems is a plus but not required. A willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks as needed.

Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
