Meat Handler/Manager
to oversee our meat department, ensuring high standards of quality, hygiene, and customer service.
Job Responsibilities:
Meat Cutting & Preparation:
Cut, trim, debone, and package meat products, including poultry, lamb, goat as per customer preferences.
Inventory Management:
Monitor stock levels, place orders, and ensure fresh meat availability.
Hygiene & Food Safety:
Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and compliance with food safety regulations.
Customer Service:
Assist customers with meat selection, provide recommendations, and handle special requests.
Equipment Maintenance:
Ensure proper use and regular cleaning of knives, saws, grinders, and Meat saw machines.
Pricing & Merchandising:
Label and display products effectively while ensuring competitive pricing
Qualifications & Skills:
Experience:
Minimum
2+ years of experience in a meat department or butcher shop, preferably in a South Asian Meat store.
Knowledge:
Understanding of meat cuts, portioning, and South Asian meat preferences.
Hygiene & Safety:
Familiarity with food safety regulations, handling raw meat, and maintaining cleanliness.
Physical Stamina:
Ability to lift heavy meat cuts and stand for extended periods.
Customer Interaction:
Strong communication skills and a customer-friendly approach.
