Do you thrive in leadership roles and excel at delivering exceptional customer service? If so, Lacombe Food Store has an exciting opportunity for you! We're currently seeking a skilled and motivated Meat Manager to join our team and help drive excellence in our meat department.

Position:

Meat Manager

Full-time:

40 hours per week. Eligible for benefits after 3 months. If you are relocating from another province, please ensure you have AB Health coverage to be covered by our plan provider.

Availability:

Weekdays and weekends- mornings, afternoons, and evenings.

Key Responsibilities:

Responsible for the overall operations of the meat department, Ensure adherence to the department budget, Oversee inventory control, ordering and receiving for the department, Ensure the meat department is appropriately merchandised including accurate tagging and pricing, Maintain excellent customer service by tracking, monitoring and following up with customer concerns, Participate in recruitment, training, development and performance management of all team members in the department, Ensure proper preparation of promotions and displays are completed, Provide strong leadership and support to team members within the department, Perform additional duties as assigned by the store manager.

Qualifications:

Grade 12 or an acceptable combination of education and experience, Meat Cutting Certificate or two (2) years of meat cutting, Three (3) years retail supervisory experience, Business related education would be an asset, Experience in managing business initiatives including analysis of financial results, Previous experience in leading a meat department is considered an asset, Ability to lift up to 50 lbs; some heavy lifting is required.
