We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Meat Cutter to join our team at our Henry Production Plant.
This is a full-time position with hours between 6:00 AM and 4:30 PM
Key responsibilities for the Meat Cutter position involves the following:
Precisely cut, trim and prepare various types of meat to company specifications
Clean, cut and prepare various types of meat from sides and quarters
Grind Meat
Work with knives, grinding machines, bandsaws
Utilize various weighing tools and mechanisms
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Work 4 10-hour days (Monday to Thursday) with the possibility of overtime
The ideal candidate will possess the following attributes:
High School Degree (minimum)
Strong knowledge of the food industry
Minimum of 5 years direct meat cutting/butchering experience
Strong knife knowledge and skills
Working knowledge of various cutting and grinding equipment (grinders, bandsaws)
Adherence to all Canadian Food Safety Standards
Ability to work independently and with a team with a strong attention to detail
Ability to stand for long periods of time in a cool environment
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Compensation
Full time, permanent
Compensation will be based on the individual attributes of the candidate and will be in the range of $23.00 to $28.00 per hour
