Job Description
Retail Meat Cutter
We are looking for an ideal candidate for a Retail Meat Cutting position in our store. We are an independent business that has been catering to Hamilton and the surrounding area for 60 years. We are a full service grocery store and professional meat market/butcher shop.
Responsibilities:
Working with carcass quarters, hinds, fronts
Bone, cut, trim and prepare standards cuts of meat
Setting up counter displays and working directly with customers
Cutting to customer specifications
Essential Abilities
Knife skills
Ability to lift 50+ lbs
Ability to use a saws and grinders
Knowledge of standard meat cuts
Safe work procedures knowledge
Customer service skills.
MUST HAVE OWN TRANSPORTATION, WE ARE NOT ON A BUS ROUTE
Necessary Experience
At least 3 years of meat cutting experience
Schedule
9 hour shift scheduled between Monday to Saturday 6am-6pm
Work Environment
Standing for full shift
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: From $22.25 per hour
