Responsibilities
Cut, trim, and prepare meat products according to specifications and customer requests.
Ensure all meat is handled in compliance with food safety regulations and best practices.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in the meat preparation area, adhering to hygiene standards.
Package meat products for display or sale, ensuring proper labeling and presentation.
Assist customers with their inquiries and provide knowledgeable recommendations on meat selections.
Monitor inventory levels of meat products and communicate needs to management.
Collaborate with team members to maintain an efficient workflow in the kitchen environment.
Qualifications and Requirements
Previous experience as a butcher or in a similar role within the food industry is required for this position.
Strong knowledge of food safety and handling practices.
Proficient in meat cutting techniques and equipment operation.
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy items as needed.
