We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Meat Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that our meat department operates smoothly and efficiently while providing exceptional customer service. As a Meat Clerk, you will be responsible for handling various meat products, assisting customers with their selections, and maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and food safety.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Assist customers in selecting and purchasing meat products, providing knowledgeable recommendations and answering any inquiries. Prepare and package meat products according to company standards, ensuring freshness and quality. Maintain cleanliness and organization within the meat department, including sanitizing work areas and equipment. Monitor inventory levels, restocking products as necessary to ensure availability. Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines, including proper food handling techniques. Collaborate with team members to ensure a positive shopping experience for customers.

Experience

Previous experience in the food industry is preferred, particularly in roles related to food preparation or service. Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers. Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and inventory management. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.25-$18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 - 40 per week

Schedule:

8 hour shift Monday to Friday Weekends as needed
