Job Summary:



The Meals Services Support Worker is responsible for transporting frozen meals from suppliers in Chilliwack and Abbotsford to the Meals on Wheels program facility. This role involves scheduled pickups, use of a Seniors Services vehicle, and unloading meals into program freezers. The position ensures timely and consistent delivery support to maintain meal availability for clients.

Your Role:



Transport frozen meals from Chilliwack using a Seniors Services vehicle.

Transport frozen meals from an Abbotsford-based supplier.

Loading and unloading meals safely into the program's freezers and designated storage areas.

Ensuring all transported meals remain properly secured and maintained at required temperatures.

Completing tracking logs and confirm counts with suppliers as needed.

Provides support and coverage for the Meal Services Coordinator as required.

Provides support to the Seniors Services Department as required.

This position is a great fit for someone who is reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.

Wage: $20.00 per hour

A part-time position at 20 hours per week, availability Monday to Thursday, from 8:00 AM to 1:30 PM.

Temporary until March 31, 2026 (with possibility of extension).

Getting an Interview - you will be considered if you have:



Experience in delivery driving, community services or logistics is an asset.

Familiarity with driving routes between Abbotsford and Chilliwack.

Experience working with seniors is an asset.

The Job Requires you to have:



Strong verbal, written, and active listening communication skills; able to communicate clearly and respectfully with people from diverse backgrounds, cultures, and varying levels of English.

Strong organizational and time management skills.

Ability to use Microsoft Office 365, including Word, Excel, and Outlook to complete tracking logs.

Ability to speak a second language an asset.

Understanding of Archway's purpose, mission, vision, and values.

Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.

Must exhibit personal maturity, sound judgment, self-motivation, empathy, and strong interpersonal skills.

Ability to operate Seniors Services vehicles for deliveries.

This position works as part of a team. ??

This position may include periods of constant motion including walking and lifting or carrying items up to 30lbs.

This position has a high level of social interaction and engagement, requiring adherence to health and safety protocols.

Valid B.C. Class 5 Driver's License and clean drivers abstract.

Food Safe certification is an asset.

A satisfactory Criminal Records Check is a condition of employment.
