Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Mecanicien(ne) automobiles to join our automotive service team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair, maintenance, and diagnostics, with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. This role involves performing repairs, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring vehicles meet safety and quality standards. Experience with dealership operations, welding, and interpreting schematics will be considered advantageous. The position offers an opportunity to develop technical skills while providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair a variety of automotive issues using mechanical knowledge and diagnostic tools Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake repairs, tire rotations, and fluid replacements Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to complete repairs and assembly tasks Read and interpret schematics and technical manuals to accurately identify problems and solutions Conduct vehicle inspections to ensure safety standards are met Assist with the installation of parts and components during repairs or upgrades Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency Communicate effectively with customers regarding repair needs and estimated timelines Adhere to safety protocols, including heavy lifting procedures when handling vehicle parts or equipment

Requirements

Proven mechanic experience with automotive repair; dealership experience is a plus Strong mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems and components Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and schematics reading Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently Experience with maintenance procedures across various vehicle models Excellent customer service skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a dynamic environment Relevant certifications or training in automotive repair are preferred but not mandatory
