MBiotech Associate - Grad Co-op

What You Will Do
--------------------
Let's do this. Let's change the world. During this program, You will have the opportunity to work within three critical functions at Amgen Canada. The 2026 rotational experience will be as follows:
(Jan - April) -Medical Information
(May - Aug) - Value, Access and Policy (Market/Patient Access, Contracts & Pricing, Reimbursement, Patient Support Programs)
Main responsibility is as a MedInfo agent on the phone lines:
Daily interactions (calls) with patients & healthcare professionals to provide accurate, evidence-based responses to medical inquiries
Identification of adverse events and/or product complaints within strict timeframes
Detailed documentation of all calls in Amgen system, following internal guidelines
Additional project work:
Assisting 'product champions' with complex medical inquiry requests
Extensive literature review to support a Risk Management Plan (RMP) for Safety department
Developing comprehensive product training materials to support Learning & Performance initiatives
Marketing

Attend marketing & cross-functional meetings, assist on projects & any ad hoc tasks that arise
Meetings:
Brand planning meetings
Agency/external vendor status meetings
Sales & marketing insights meetings
Semester meetings
Projects:
Creating, reviewing & renewing brand marketing tools
Assisting with regional Ad Boards & conference logistics
Leading initiatives for sales force to test their knowledge of brand marketing tools
Sales project: calling Dr's offices to relay sales messaging
Value, Access & Policy

Review of clinical data for submission of projects to provincial/federal health authorities
Review of biopharmaceutical contracts for terms & conditions
Competitive intelligence activities
Scan of reimbursement landscapes for various projects

Basic Qualifications:
Amgen requires that all individuals applying for an undergrad internship or a co-op assignment at Amgen must meet the following criteria:
18 years or older
Currently enrolled in a full-time Bachelor's Degree program from an accredited college or university with a 3.0 minimum GPA or equivalent
Completion of one year of study from an accredited college or university prior to the internship commencing
Enrolled in a full-time Bachelor's degree program following the potential internship or co-op assignment with an accredited college or university
Must not be employed at the time the internship starts

Science Background with Pharmaceutical/Biotech experience
Strong computer skills with the Microsoft OfficeO suite of software including Outlook
Be a strong team player and able to build productive internal/external relationships

Excel at written and oral communication
