The Department of Mathematical and Statistical Sciences at the University of Alberta invites applications for a Max Wyman Assistant Professorship in any area of Statistics. The position has a 3-year fixed-term appointment.

The successful candidate will be able to apply for grant funding, establish a research program in an excellent research environment, and develop their teaching portfolio with a teaching load of 2 courses per year. The start date of the position is July 1, 2026.
Applicants must have a PhD degree in Statistics (or equivalent), demonstrated accomplishments and clear promise in research in any area of Statistical Sciences, as well as a strong commitment to graduate and undergraduate teaching.
