Job Description

We're currently onboarding a new team member to support high school students in advanced academic subjects. If you're confident in explaining complex ideas and passionate about helping learners reach their full potential, this role is for you.

We are especially looking for tutors with

strong command of Grade 10-12 Math

, as well as

English, Chemistry and Physics

.

About 70% of shifts will be online, where as 30% will be in-person

Tutors not able to come in person are welcome to apply for online only position

Must be available for at least 2 days from 4-8pm during weekdays Monday-Friday

Must have access to a drawing/writing tablet, such as an iPad, Writing/Drawing Pad, Microsoft surface etc. This will be tested in interview.

Your Role:

Tutor students in small groups 3-4 students (primarily high school level) Focus on clarifying tough concepts, building problem-solving skills, and boosting confidence Offer support in Pre-Calculus, Foundations Math, Chemistry 11/12, and Physics 11/12 Adapt your teaching style to suit different learners Track progress and communicate with families when needed

What You Bring:

Experience tutoring Grade 10-12 Math is required

Comfortable with senior-level Chemistry and Physics (BC curriculum) Strong academic background (B+ or higher in post-secondary STEM courses preferred) Dependable, professional, and engaging personality Able to commit to at least 3-6 hours per week Willing to travel Within Vancouver, Burnaby, Surrey, Coquitlam for tutoring Familiarity with BC high school curriculum and course expectations is an Asset Prior experience with online platforms like Zoom

Pay: $17.85-$22.00 per hour
