Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Tutor to join our educational team to teach Maths and English for grade 1 to 10 students. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in teaching or tutoring, with the ability to engage and inspire students in various subjects. This role requires proficiency in multiple languages, including Mandarin, English, French, Spanish, and Japanese, to support diverse learners. The Tutor will work closely with students to enhance their understanding of academic concepts and improve their overall performance.

Duties

Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions tailored to individual student needs Develop personalized lesson plans that align with curriculum standards Assess student progress and adapt teaching methods accordingly Foster a positive learning environment that encourages student engagement and motivation Communicate effectively with students and parents regarding academic goals and progress Utilize various teaching resources and materials to enhance learning experiences Assist students in developing effective study habits and writing skills Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance

Qualifications

Proven experience in tutoring or teaching, preferably with children Strong proficiency in English; additional language skills in French, & Arabic are highly desirable Excellent writing skills to assist students with written assignments and projects Ability to create engaging lesson plans that cater to different learning styles Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with students and parents Classroom experience is a plus but not mandatory A passion for education and helping students succeed academically
Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $19.00-$23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 - 12 per week
