Best Brains in Brampton is seeking enthusiastic and reliable

Part-Time Math and English Teachers/Graders

to work with students from ages

4 to 14 (and higher grades)

.

We are an active, growing workplace committed to building strong foundational skills in math and language arts through our non-repetitive, proprietary curriculum. This role is perfect for certified teachers or experienced tutors looking for a flexible, consistent afternoon/evening contract.

Key Responsibilities

Instruction:

Teach Math and/or English to students in a

small group setting

(up to 5 students at a time), utilizing the provided Best Brains curriculum.

Differentiation:

Effectively manage and instruct a group of 4-5 students, each potentially working on a different grade level and concept at any given point.

Curriculum Management:

Review and grade student work (Math and English), providing detailed feedback on assignments.

Student Engagement:

Maintain an active, positive, and motivating learning environment, fostering students' critical thinking and communication skills.

Communication:

Actively and proficiently communicate with the Center Director and parents regarding student progress and performance.

Punctuality:

Consistently arrive on time and adhere to the scheduled teaching hours.

Required Qualifications



Education & Certification

Ontario Certified Teacher (OCT):

Applications are strongly encouraged from candidates who are currently

certified and licensed by the Ontario College of Teachers (OCT)

.
Skills & Attributes

Reliability & Punctuality:

Must be highly reliable, punctual, and possess a reliable form of transportation to arrive on time for shifts in Brampton.

Group Management:

Proven ability to manage and instruct 4-5 students simultaneously, handling different grades and learning needs.

Communication:

High proficiency in active, clear, and professional communication with students, parents, and staff.

Enthusiasm:

A genuine passion for education and working with children and youth.

Hours:

6-12 hours per week, primarily weekdays between

4:30 PM and 7:30 PM

. This is a year-round position offering steady, reliable part-time work.

Education:

Bachelor's Degree (preferred)
Experience:

teaching: 1 year (preferred)
