The Role: Math Contest Preparation Instructor
This is a specialized,

. Ideal candidates currently hold a full-time math teaching job, are enrolled in teacher's college, or are actively working in an education-related field.
Crucially, proven experience teaching or participating in prestigious math contests (such as AMC or Waterloo) is a necessary requirement for this role.
Essential Qualifications
Contest Expertise (Mandatory):
Teachers must have a minimum of
3 years of teaching experience specifically in AMC or Waterloo math contests

Contest Background:
Prior direct experience with math contests (teaching, coaching, or competing) is mandatory.
Academic Proficiency:
Strong academic proficiency and confidence in teaching advanced contest mathematics, which will be demonstrated during the selection process.
Technical Skill:
Proficient in online teaching tools (for resource preparation and communication).
Core Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality, targeted lessons to small classes of students or through private tutoring, focusing exclusively on math contest preparation strategies and content.
Prepare specialized lessons within program guidelines, focusing on complex problem-solving.
Mark and provide detailed feedback on homework and contest-style assessments.
Actively promote and nurture students' interests and competitive spirit in advanced mathematics.
Teachers are required to teach a
minimum of 4 hours per week
