Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Tutor to support students in achieving their academic goals. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching, strong communication skills, and experience working with children. This role involves providing personalized instruction in various subjects, with a focus on math, computer science, and special education needs. The Tutor will play a vital role in fostering a positive learning environment and helping students build confidence and skills for academic success.

Duties

Deliver one-on-one sessions tailored to individual student needs Assist students with understanding core concepts in math, computer science, or other designated subjects Develop customized lesson plans and educational materials to enhance learning outcomes Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to students and parents Incorporate technology and computer skills into lessons to engage learners effectively Support students with special education requirements by adapting teaching strategies accordingly Maintain a positive, encouraging atmosphere to motivate students and promote confidence Collaborate with teachers and educational staff to align tutoring efforts with classroom curricula

Qualifications

Experience working with children in an educational or tutoring setting is preferred Strong knowledge of math, computer science, or related subjects Prior classroom experience or teaching background is advantageous Familiarity with special education practices is a plus Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to connect effectively with students of diverse backgrounds Proficiency in computer skills and educational technology tools Passion for teaching and helping students succeed academically Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual learning styles and needs
Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 2 - 4 per week
