Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Mathematics Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mathematics and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment. This position involves teaching various math subjects to students, engaging them in critical thinking, and helping them develop their problem-solving skills. The Mathematics Teacher will also be responsible for adapting lessons to meet the diverse needs of students, including those with special education requirements.

Duties

Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards. Teach mathematics concepts ranging from basic arithmetic to advanced topics. Assess student progress through regular evaluations and provide constructive feedback. Utilize various teaching methods and resources, including technology, to enhance learning experiences. Provide tutoring support for students needing additional assistance outside of regular class hours. Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and performance. Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices.

Skills

Strong knowledge of mathematics concepts and teaching methodologies. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with students, parents, and colleagues. Experience in classroom management and the ability to create an inclusive learning environment. Familiarity with special education practices to support diverse learners effectively. Previous tutoring experience is highly desirable. A passion for teaching and a commitment to student success.
Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 2 - 4 per week
