What We're Looking For:

? Strong knowledge of

high school Math, Physics, Biology, and Chemistry (Grades 9-12)

.
? Excellent communication skills--able to break down complex topics clearly.
? Friendly, patient, and able to manage

one-on-one or small-group sessions

.
? At least

1 year of tutoring or teaching experience

(preferred but not mandatory).
? Available for

in-person (Markham) or online sessions

.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards. Educate students on mathematical concepts ranging from basic arithmetic to advanced calculus. Utilize various teaching methods and resources to accommodate different learning styles. Provide tutoring and additional support for students who may require special education services. Create a positive classroom environment that encourages student participation and collaboration. Assess student progress through regular evaluations and provide constructive feedback. Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance. Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress and classroom activities. Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills.

Experience

A degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field is required. Previous experience as a mathematics teacher or tutor is preferred. Familiarity with special education practices is a plus. Strong classroom management skills and the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly. Experience with laboratory settings for practical applications of mathematical principles is beneficial. A passion for educating students and helping them achieve their academic goals.
