Job Description

We are looking for an Intermediate/Senior level Math/Science teacher to join our learning support team in a part-time role. Teaching areas include math from grade 7-12, high school science courses, and executive functioning skills. Please note that this is not an ESL or tutoring position. Sundays and weekday evenings are required.

Ruth Rumack's Learning Space (RRLS) is a fast-growing educational support company for students from kindergarten to university, including those with learning exceptionalities.

We teach students in 1-to-1 and small group settings and design individualized lesson plans that help students achieve academic and lifelong success. Lessons are interactive, kinesthetic, and incorporate creative teaching methods not found in regular classrooms.

WHAT WE NEED

OCT certification or relevant teaching experience Post-secondary and/or graduate degrees in math or science-related fields 2+ years experience teaching students with a variety of educational needs Ability to support a wide range of learners (approximately Grade 7-12) in math and science curriculum Special Education experience or qualifications an asset Experience integrating technology into lessons an asset Excellent command of the English language A fun, warm, and empathetic personality Adaptable, flexible, and motivated attitude
