Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate Tutor to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with teens and a strong background in Math and/or Secondary Science. This role involves providing personalized one on one instruction and support to students, helping them achieve their academic goals and develop confidence in their abilities. The Tutor will work closely with students to help them with current classwork from their local high school, and foster a positive learning environment.

Duties

Provide one-on-one tutoring sessions in Math at a Grade 12 and 11 level. Utilize effective teaching methods to engage students and enhance their understanding of the material. Support students with special education needs by adapting lessons to accommodate various learning styles. Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding achievement and areas for improvement. Be willing to collaborate with other tutors and teachers to incorporate new strategies into tutoring sessions.

Requirements

Experience working with children in an educational setting is essential. Proficiency in Math; familiarity with special education practices is a plus. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues. Ability to work with instructional strategies that cater to diverse learning styles. A passion for helping students reach their full potential.

Pay: $33.00 per hour
