As the Material Coordinator for the Halifax Class Combat Systems Integration In Service Support (CSI ISS) program the candidate will be the focal point for asset management on the program. The candidate will be called to work at CFB Stadacona in Halifax once the necessary security clearances have been granted by the government of Canada. The candidate will function in a multi-disciplined team environment and interact with many different stakeholders including Engineering, Quality Assurance, Security, Program Management, DND and the RCN. Primary Responsibilities Include:Work with multiple stakeholders to manage equipment throughout its life cycle, from acquisition to disposal
Preparation of Purchase Requisitions including management of parts database
Request and obtain North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) Stock Numbers
Receiving and storing material which can involve loading/unloading and transportation
Management of program Supplied Customer Account (SCA) and Government Furnished Equipment (GFE)
Manage and coordinate the calibration of test equipment
Conduct material audits and generate required reports
Coordinate and manage movement of equipment including delivery to various customer locations
What you bring to the role
Ability to acquire NATO Secret Security clearance
Experience in materials handling, stockroom and inventory control
The materials handling activity physically active and requires some lifting therefore the applicant must be sufficiently able bodied to perform the role
Strong relationship building skills
Strong communication and writing skills
Strong organizational and planning skills
Ability to work both individually and in a team environment.
The position requires good communication skills both written and verbal
A valid driver's licence is required.
Additional skills desired for the role
Fundamental knowledge of computer and networking hardware.
Experience in materials handling, stockroom and inventory control.
Computer systems and data entry experience.
Experience with SAP Materials Management (MM) or Production Planning (PP)
Experience with Microsoft Office software especially Excel and Outlook.
Experience with Defence Resource Management Information System (DRMIS)
