Tiercon is seeking knowledgeable, self-directed, experienced and hardworking individuals interested in the automotive industry as a Materials Packaging Coordinator at our 591 Arvin.
Job SummaryReporting Structure:
Reporting to the Materials Supervisor, the Packaging Coordinator coordinates company and customer packaging, racking and dunnage to support facility in maintaining efficient operations. They will be responsible for managing customer portals (AGS, Toyota, VW, etc) as it relates to packaging requirements and at all times, ensuring the ongoing adherence to the policies and procedures outlined in the Health and Safety, Quality and Environmental Systems and encouraging continuous improvement wherever possible.
Responsibilities:
Perform regular counts of all Tiercon and customer racks, bins, and packaging
+ Customer Finished goods packaging
+ WIP bins and racks
+ Performs off-site counts at suppliers if required
+ Compare packaging counts to electronic counts where applicable
+ Ensures proper identification of packaging (Customer/program name) Reporting of damaged dunnage to customers
+ Determine suitability of dunnage during counts and identify needed repairs
+ Communication with customer rep (via customer portal, email or otherwise)
+ Coordinating repair work and return in accordance with Tiercon or customer instructions Manage customer portals (AGS, Toyota, VW, etc) as it relates to packaging requirements
+ Verifying and reconciling inventory counts with customer records
+ Reports packaging quantities below shipping requirements to Materials Manager for authorization to use expendable packaging Works with Materials Team and/or Program Managers to analyze production volumes vs. packaging fleet to confirm program packaging needs
+ Historical production performance
+ Resolves issues with packaging shortages Regular communication with production floor on dunnage requirements and availability
+ Assists in arranging for dunnage to be delivered or returned to the needed location
Manages the repair and/or disposal of packaging assets.
+ Includes collecting, ordering, and storage of replacement or orphaned dunnage
Works with moulding production floor to plan out and maximize mould runs.
Works with Materials Team to perform end of program disposition, counts and reporting
Assists Materials Team with various reporting functions
Promote continuous improvement in all areas
Other duties as required
Qualifications:
Education Required
High school Diploma
Core Competencies
ERP Systems an asset
Lift Truck License would be an asset
MS office application proficiency
Experience Required
3 years in an Administrative role
Experience in a Manufacturing environment an asset
