Dovre Canada Limited is pleased to offer the following opportunity: Materials Management Advisor \xe2\x80\x93 Supply Chain, located in St. John\xe2\x80\x99s, NL

Function

Responsibilities

  • \'One Stop Shop\' managing all aspects of OCTG and related materials in Eastern Canada
  • Liase with client, vendors, yards, and rigs to manage required materials
  • Communicate, respond to business needs, communicate
  • Pipe Desk, material expediting, logistic coordination, document control, data entry, job costing
  • Inventory reconciliations, physical counts (periodic travel, visits)
  • Vendor management, review vendor invoices
  • Identify reporting requirements and create or modify appropriate reports
  • Flexible for evening/weekend on-call to perform required tasks
  • Research and understand products and new products as they are introduced
  • Meet client deadlines, communicate changes, identify issues, and develop solutions
  • Culture of Safety in all aspects of work performance

Requirements

Work Experience
  • Minimum 5 years of Customer Service Representative, Inside Sales or Order Desk experience working in the general oil and gas sector, logistics, inside an industrial distributor, manufacturing, commercial distributor, or sales office environment.
  • Previous Offshore or oil and gas experience is considered an asset
  • Previous Account Management experience is considered an asset
  • Working with Sage, wellview, or SAP ERP systems considered and asset
Education
  • Diploma or Degree / Supply Chain Designation considered an asset
Skills & Competencies Required
  • Strong interpersonal, video, telephone, and written communication skills
  • Demonstrate critical thinking, analytical thinking, and problem solving skills
  • Detail oriented and logical with an ability to handle a diverse workload
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office specifically Excel, PowerPoint, Teams
  • Composed approach to handling unplanned changes or difficult situations
  • Ability to work independently or with team members
  • Demonstrate initiative, self-motivation, and an eagerness to learn
  • Passionate enthusiastic and \'care about the job\' - \'can do, will-do\' attitude
