The Material Coordinator is responsible for procurement traceability, including tracking materials and equipment and maintaining the integrity of Material Masters. They will be required to become familiar with and fully utilize the Client\'s Supply Chain and Logistics tools and processes for managing the movements and supply of drilling materials and services.

Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for tracking the movements for the repair of all rig equipment and components.
  • Initiates all purchase orders for service work.
  • Responsible for maintaining records of equipment, materials, supplies and spare parts.
  • Maintain efficient stores management processes and practices to ensure parts and equipment retain full reliability while stored.
  • Confirm S/N\'s on Materials On Hand to various parties
  • Aid in the receipt of time sensitive materials which require immediate processing.
  • Provide SAP PO documents & support to the warehouse staff for the physical goods receipt process.
  • Process SAP PO receipts and track PO\'s for overdue materials.
  • Assist with arrangements for third party inspections of lifting gear, prior to being sent offshore.
  • Close out quality and receiving related discrepancies (MER\'s - Material Exception Reports) noted with suppliers (inadequate certificates, mismatching part numbers, and incorrect quantities).
  • Provide proper inspection and storage preservation of backloaded (MOH) materials to ensure they will be fit for service when needed and logged appropriately.
  • Review backload manifests and contact Base to prioritize the delivery of time sensitive backload containers.
  • Act as a point of contact for those checking on the status of procured materials.
  • Update Material Requisition logs with all material transactions and delivery updates.
  • Prepare urgent air transport packages, obtain approval, arrange courier transport of these packages and track material movements to ensure item delivery.
  • Coordinate material transportation from suppliers to the warehouse.
  • Coordinate transportation of repair and return items from the onshore warehouse to designated service providers.
  • Process customs export forms for international transportation.
  • Provide detailed manifest reports for all outbound materials going offshore in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate materials through the onshore warehouse facility to expedite urgent materials offshore and, support warehouse with the logistics & containerization of items that do not conform to conventional / accepted size and / or shape.
  • Provide Procurement / Logistics departmental support during absences, as required.
  • Perform additional duties, responsibilities, and special projects as may be directed.
  • Responsible for managing inventories and providing material control and coordination.
  • Provide effective material and inventory control within onshore supply chain and ensuring that inventory levels and values are efficiently maintained.
  • Periodic reviews of supplier/vendor performance and accountability (quality of service, quality of personnel, etc.). Developing metrics to monitor goals, such as cost reduction, timely delivery, improved supplier performance (KPI)
  • Monitor and control all inventory to ensure accuracy.
  • Actively engaged and provides proactive support to all turnaround activities, ensuring no material shortages.
  • Coordinate and participate in reconciliation of inventory counts, inventory reporting and dashboard creation.
Qualifications

Education, experience, and certifications:
  • High School diploma is required.
  • Completion of PMAC certification is desirable
  • SAP experience is required.
  • Must be able to obtain appropriate offshore or, onsore certifications, if required.
  • 5+ years\' experience in Materials Management, particularly in the MM module, is preferred.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Must possess basic mathematical skills.
  • Must be a self-motivator and work without close supervision.
  • Must be able to prioritize jobs and work under tight time constraints.
  • Must have good PC skills to include MS Office products.
  • Must possess sound reasoning skills and have the ability to follow directions.
  • Must be able to recognize hazards, alarms, warnings and the ability to convey these to the proper personnel.
  • Must have good verbal communication skills and be able to effectively communicate with staff, management, customers and vendors.
