About the Role

Almira Cabinets is seeking a skilled

Freelance Material Take-Off, Drafting, and Quotation Specialist

to support our growing volume of millwork and cabinetry projects. We need someone who can work independently and efficiently, producing accurate drawings, take-offs, and quotations for a variety of residential and commercial projects.

This is flexible contract work--perfect for a freelancer, designer, draftsperson, or millwork estimator looking for consistent project flow.

Work Includes

Material Take-Offs

for: Kitchen cabinets Bathroom vanities Wardrobes & closets Custom millwork Countertops (quartz, laminate, etc.)

Drafting & Drawing Work:

Floor plans Elevations Detailed cabinet drawings Section views & construction details Revision work and updates as required

Quotation Preparation:

Breakdown of materials, hardware, and labour Unit pricing for large or small projects Organized cost sheets and client-ready pricing Options, alternates, and upgrade pricing Ensuring accuracy, proper construction methods, and clear communication of all details.

Requirements

Experience with

millwork drafting

,

cabinetry design

, or

material take-off work

. Ability to read architectural drawings and specifications. Strong knowledge of kitchen, closet, and millwork construction details. Proficiency with design/drafting software (Mozaik, AutoCAD, Cabinet Vision, or similar). Accuracy and attention to detail--no missing quantities or miscalculations. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines. Freelancers from any location are welcome, but familiarity with Canadian materials/sizing is required.

Pay: $46,875.34-$96,451.65 per year
