What You Would Do in This Role

A Material Management Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the flow of materials and supplies within a program. This role ensures that materials are available for fabrication and other processes as needed, maintaining optimal visibility and facilitating efficient operations. This role is critical to the success of meeting project schedule and deadlines. The candidate must demonstrate meticulous attention to detail. This is a fast-paced environment with competing priorities. The successful candidate needs to be solution driven and an advocate for change. Ultimate Ownership in the process is expected.


While this role reports to the Procurement Manager they will also take direction from the Program Manager, Project Managers and Project Engineers.

Requirements

Education

: High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field is preferred.

Experience

:

Previous experience in material coordination, inventory management, or logistics is highly desirable. Experience in Alberta energy capital projects Experience working in or closely with an EP company

Technical Skills

: Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Organizational Skills

: Strong ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize workloads, and meet deadlines.

Communication Skills

: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and suppliers.

Problem-Solving Skills

: Ability to identify issues and implement solutions quickly and efficiently.

Attention to Detail

: High level of accuracy in handling material records and documentation.

Fabrication and Assembly

: At minimum, a basic understanding of Module Assembly, Pipe Spool fabrication, Structural Steel fabrication and the flow of free-issued materials.

Working Conditions

:

Will be in office and at supplier / fabricator shops. Some travel may be required. Requires adherence to safety standards and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as necessary. Only candidates in Canada will be considered. This position is not eligible for relocation.
