Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Material Handler to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the movement of materials within our yard, ensuring that all processes are executed smoothly and efficiently. This role requires a strong attention to detail, the ability to operate heavy equipment, and a commitment to maintaining safety standards in a fast-paced environment.

Shift thru summer would be

7-7 from Tuesday - Friday

830-300 on Saturday

Responsibilities

Load and unload materials from trucks and containers using forklifts and other heavy equipment. Load retail customer 1/2 tons and other small trailers Fill bags with soil and aggregate as needed Perform shipping and receiving duties, ensuring accuracy in order fulfillment. Build pallets and prepare items for distribution according to company standards. Conduct order picking tasks, ensuring that the correct items are selected for shipment. Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times. Assist with inventory counts and report discrepancies as needed.

Skills

Proficiency in operating forklifts and other heavy equipment is essential. Experience in warehouse operations, including shipping and receiving processes. Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) as required by the job. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in order picking and inventory management. Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members. A proactive approach to problem-solving and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00-$24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 50 per week
