Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating various types of forklifts and material handling equipment to ensure efficient and safe movement of goods throughout the facility. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to perform heavy lifting as needed.

Responsibilities

Operate forklifts to transport materials within the Shop. Load and unload shipments accurately while adhering to safety protocols. Utilize a Warehouse Management System (WMS) for tracking inventory and order picking processes. Perform routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance. Assist in organizing and maintaining the shop layout for efficient operations. Collaborate with team members to meet daily production goals and maintain high standards of safety and efficiency. Execute basic math calculations for inventory management and order fulfillment.

Qualifications

Proven experience in warehouse distribution or a similar role is preferred. Valid forklift certification is required; experience with clamp trucks is a plus. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot minor equipment issues. Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) consistently throughout the shift. Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills. Basic math skills for accurate order picking and inventory management.
