TalentWorld is recruiting a Material Handler/Forklift Operator in Airdrie, Alberta for one of our clients.
Responsibilities
Process shipments (docs, labels, loading/unloading)
Manage Purolator shipments & tracking
Maintain food safety logs
Schedule freight & confirm pickups
Communicate ETAs with customers/carriers
Obtain shipping quotes
Organize & prep skids for shipment
Receive/store raw materials
Keep warehouse clean & safe
Lift 60 lbs, stand 8+ hrs
Extreme attention to detail
Problem-solving mindset
Team player + self-starter
Qualifications
High School, bachelor's in supply chain/Logistics (preferred)
Forklift/WHMIS certs (preferred)
Valid driver's license (required)
ERP/WMS (SAP, Oracle)
Shipping software (Purolator/FedEx portals)
Excel (pivot tables, formulas)
2+ years shipping/warehouse experience
Food/manufacturing background (asset)
Detail-oriented
Problem-solver
Physically fit (60+ lbs lifting)
Steel-toe boots (must have on Day 1)
Valid driver's license + reliable transportation
Able to pass background check
Employment Details
Salary: $21.50 Hourly
Benefits: 40 hours weekly, weekly pay
Schedule: 8:00AM to 5:00PM, Monday to Friday
Other: 6 months contract, possibility of extension
