Responsibilities
Operate heavy machinery like forklifts and pallet jacks for loading, unloading, and moving materials.
Perform basic troubleshooting on equipment and report mechanical issues to ensure operational safety.
Execute general labor tasks, including frequent lifting, loading, and unloading of goods.
Proactively maintain a clean and hazard-free work environment through regular cleaning and organizing.
Uphold all health and safety protocols, acting as a champion for a safe workplace for yourself and the team.
Accurately handle order picking, inventory management, and related documentation.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
5+ years of proven experience as a Forklift Operator.
A valid forklift license (in-house or paid certification accepted).
1+ year of experience in machine operation within the manufacturing sector.
Experience in manufacturing, preferably in plastics, packaging, or food manufacturing strong assets.
Physically able to lift 50 lbs. unassisted.
Excellent mechanical aptitude with basic troubleshooting skills.
Mandatory flexibility for rotating morning/evening shifts, Monday through Sunday.
Ability and willingness to work overtime is required to meet production needs.
Steel toe boots are mandatory.
You must have own transportation and a valid Class 5 driver's license.
Able to provide 2 professional references related to forklift operations.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
A proven learning drive and eagerness to develop new skills.
Able to start immediately is a strong asset.
Employment Details
Position Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Schedule: Rotational Shifts (Monday-Sunday), Day Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and Night Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Hours: Minimum of 40 hours per week
Location: Northeast Calgary, Alberta
Compensation: Bi-weekly pay
