Material Handler I
Pay Rate: CAD 18.50 / Hour

Job Responsibilities

• Process outbound shipments and ensure timely delivery
• Follow all safety protocols and adhere to PPE requirements
• Maintain a clean and safe work area, strictly following departmental and company policies
• Use different shipping systems to efficiently dispatch outbound shipments.
• Prioritize and communicate daily tasks to meet departmental and site goals
• Organize workflow and estimate progress of order fulfillment
• Collaborate effectively with coworkers to achieve team, department, and company metrics
• Support quality objectives by reporting corrective and preventative actions
• Perform all duties according to company Standard Operating Procedures and Quality System requirements
• Operate machinery safely, reporting any malfunctions immediately
• Continuously assess the physical condition of the workplace for safety and ergonomic correctness
• Report property damage and safety hazards promptly

Job Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work with minimal supervision
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and push/pull up to 600 lbs skids
• Proficiency in operating Lift Trucks and Hand Trucks
• Ability to stand for sustained periods of time, approximately 8 hours a day
• Basic English communication skills, both written and verbal
• Basic math skills
